The Opportunity:

Within Aon, the financial services sector team (McLagan) is the leading provider of performance reports, remuneration studies and consulting to the world’s top financial services firms. Focusing exclusively on the financial services industry for over forty years, McLagan serves clients in the asset management, investment banking, corporate banking, private equity and private client businesses.

Based in our Kent Street offices in Sydney, this is a full-time permanent role. As Senior Remuneration Consultant, you will ensure data integrity across the McLagan suite of remuneration reports is of the highest quality through management of both the data checking and survey production processes.


  • Coordinate data collection materials for remuneration survey participation
  • Track and keep team informed of data collection status using internal systems
  • Direct contact with clients to ensure any data queries are corrected and, or validated as necessary
  • Ownership of allocated clients’ data submissions end to end process including supporting job matching and data submission queries
  • Initial review and checks of all preliminary and final remuneration reports
  • Preparation of materials for client survey kick off meetings including providing new ideas for content
  • Prepare analysis for end of year remuneration trend conferences to clients
  • Identify new client project opportunities and know when to bring in more senior level support

About you:

  • Tertiary qualified to minimum Bachelor level (BA, BCom, BSc) with 2-3 years’ experience
  • Practical analytical and data manipulation experience
  • High technical literacy, advanced Excel
  • Knowledge of statistical principles
  • Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Relationship management strengths and ownership of smaller client’s day to day relationships
  • Interest in financial services
