Role Type- Permanent, Full Time

Your role as a Relationship Credit Manager is a relationship focused, customer-facing role, which specialises in providing credit risk assessment for existing and prospective clients.

You will be responsible for working directly with the Senior Relationship Managers, Director, Customers, Product Partners, Credit Executives and other stakeholders to complete and manage the broader credit assessment function and ensure an optimal 'well managed' portfolio.

It is expected that you will have a clear understanding of the performance history and future plans of each customer within the portfolio at all times.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following-

  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills, incorporating a background of sound business lending for either Property businesses or Business Banking or Commercial Banking businesses
  • Demonstrable understanding and structuring of Property businesses or Business Banking or Commercial Banking business needs and expectations, with an ability to identify new and cross-sell business opportunities
  • Broad product and specialised financing knowledge to consistently make appropriate recommendations to key business stakeholders
  • Ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks, making recommendations where appropriate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated excellent customer focus
  • The ability to work autonomously; work within teams with proven analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • A passion for working with “mid-markets” business
