Senior level management role within NAB Broker pre-assessment and Credit Assessment
Identify, build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Be instrumental in the success of your team and the wider Peronal Banking function

About You

You are a focused leader with a proven ability to put the customer front of mind. In this role you will provide Operational Leadership to the NAB Broker Pre-Assessment and Credit Assessment offshore operations within Personal Bank Operations. This functions perform a range or Pre-Assessment and Credit Assessment related activities to ensure customers home loan applications submitted by Brokers are verified and assessed accurately and in accordance to policies, which is key to ensure responsible lending and regulatory obligations are met.

In this role you will take accountability for the end customer experience and look at ways to motivate a large team to deliver excellent customer service and make the process simpler and more efficient in a way that engages the hearts and minds of those involved.

This role is responsible for 7-10 direct reports reports + the Offshore team and the operations of Pre-Assessment and Credit Assessment Teams to ensure business objectives and performance targets set out are met.

You should be able to demonstrate:
Proven People Leadership skills that promotes a culture of delivery, improvement and growth
Extensive experience in Operations Management and leading a large Operations team
Knowledge of Active Operations (AOM) capability and Proven results in delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives
Ability to deliver change across a medium to large business
Proven stakeholder management skills that drive the achievement of a collective goal across the team and wider function
Monthly performance conversations with direct reports along with on the spot and structured coaching sessions
Actively manage the development of self and direct reports collaboratively - encourage direct report to hold meaningful conversations about their Individual Development Plans and their staff
Manage workflow and volumes across your team ensuing maximum productivity and advising on ways to improve processes

Your Skills and Experience

7+ years’ experience in a leadership role focused on credit functions, lending, operations, contact centre and customer service
Experience managing Team Leads/Managers
A tertiary qualification in a related discipline/ experience and knowledge in the credit and risk functions is desirable
Proven stakeholder management skills that drive the achievement of a collective goal across the business

You will always be looking at ways to motivate your team to deliver excellent customer service and make the process simpler and more efficient in a way that engages the hearts and minds of those involved.

As part of the Personal Bank Operations team, you will be part of the Pre Assessment and Credit Assessment function which is designed to ensure we serve both our external and internal customers by meeting agreed service standards, reduce risks and improve the customer experience.
