About the Opportunity

As a Relationship Manager – Retail Banking, you will play a pivotal role in positioning our Bank as a true relationship bank within the community and helping the Bank achieve its growth targets. The primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and be accountable for your own Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Develop and deliver business plan which aligns with the strategy of the bank
  • Build a positive high profile in the local community, actively promoting BOS and developing strong relationships with key members of the local community to develop a strong referral base
  • Ensure the customer is at the centre of everything we do and take ownership of process efficiencies and improvements along with sales related compliance and risk management of their Branch
  • Conduct end to end loan processing as per BOS guidelines with the aim to exceed Loan, Deposit and profitability targets
  • Ensure Loan paperwork, supporting documentation, statistics or other information is produced and submitted as required
  • Provide recommendations/approvals within your delegated authority for day to day transactions and customer requests

You will need to be flexible to travel to various Sydney branch locations as this is a mobile role. 

About you

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in mortgage lending role
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage process, lending concepts and how to structure a credit submission
  • A sound understanding of the P&L implications of loan pricing and resourcing to maximise profits
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Highly developed influencing skills and well developed networking skills
  • Demonstrated personal community focus and drive to build relationships in the community
  • A passion to delight customers and build relationships
