How will I help?

As a key member of Westpac Group Risk, you will develop a deep understanding of the intent and objectives behind the Customer Outcomes Risk Excellence (CORE) Program and the components of the transformation agenda. The CORE Program is delivering the required uplift to improve the management of non-financial risk within the group and you will be focused on Workstream 6 which is specifically focused on Second Line Risk Frameworks

You will act as an agent of change between multiple stakeholder groups – Business Divisions, Group Risk, Central CORE team, Internal and External assurance teams. So will work with the team to identify key stakeholders, develop, and maintain effective working relationships and influence when necessary.

Take responsibility for ensuring that the project meets the needs of the customer and business and is aligned to the overall strategy. This will be achieved by analysing, documenting, and overseeing the development of detailed activities to achieve the overall CORE Single View of Plan. Partner with the team to define and drive “As Is” and “To Be” discussions and documenting any changes to the documentation considering new information and/or changes to the initial scope.

Ensure that the risks (project and operational) are managed in accordance with the appropriate frameworks, including governance and evaluation frameworks. Whilst supporting the stream Program Manager in the analysis and development of the Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies log.

What do I need?

You will bring with you prior experience as a Business Analysis gained from a large, complex environment, ideally within Financial Services as well as working knowledge or Operational Risk and/or Compliance.

Be able to demonstrate experience in leading business analysis activities and/or workstreams in similar large-scale projects and demonstrate experience in facilitating business solution workshops involving participants from senior management to business users.

Prior experience in working in an Agile environment and familiar using tools such as Jira/Confluence.

A strong understanding of governance, compliance and control frameworks and implementation would be advantageous.
