How will I help?

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Risk Assurance, Institutional and Treasury, this person will be responsible for leading line 2 assurance reviews across the Institutional and Treasury divisions. You will ensure assurance and monitoring programmes are aligned to and support the Group Risk strategy and Compliance target areas and provide line 2 assurance over high and medium rated operational risks and compliance obligations.

This person will provide line 2 oversight across high rated projects and deliver their assurance opinion to the risk owners. You will influence enterprise leaders to embed risk monitoring & control practices. Furthermore, you will identify and report trends in quarterly General Manager and divisional Risk and Compliance Committee reports.

At times this person will act as a people leader for team; providing frequent feedback and professional guidance, delivering annual appraisals, ongoing coaching, providing individual career development opportunities.

What do I need?

A strong candidate will bring 8 plus years of experience across audit or assurance with experience in Financial Markets products. This experience will come from a banking environment. You will have relevant experience in dealing with regulatory changes and implementing these changes.

You will hold stakeholder management skills and be highly proficient with both your verbal and written communication. You will be asked to challenge and hold your own amongst some key people across the organisation and provide your thought leadership on several matters.
