How will I help?

The role will see you provide the Financial Markets global businesses with specialist, outcome-focused risk and control oversight, insight and challenge that ensure complete and accurate risk and issue capture, influence decisions, optimise risk-reward balance and contribute to the attainment of business strategy and objectives.

You will also be tasked to provide an independent, 2nd Line oversight of the effectiveness of the business’ operational risk management practices. Whilst ensuring the smooth transition of Group operational risk frameworks and policies into the Financial Markets businesses.

Take the lead on thematic analysis across Financial Markets risks, providing specialist guidance from these reviews. Whilst also providing the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings, or changes in inherent risk environment.

You will be given the support to challenge and oversight business change initiatives, whether product or project driven, to ensure the risks delivered through change are adequately controlled.

What do I need?

You will bring with you solid operational risk / compliance experience gained from within Investment Bank, preferably in a markets activity, or from within a consulting / audit firm and be able to demonstrable knowledge and experience of investment banking activity and associated processes.

You will need to be comfortable in influencing senior business leadership teams whilst being able to think strategically and prioritise when required.

Relevant Industry Qualifications Are Advantageous But Not Essential.
