Executive Manager, Line 1 Risk

How will I help?

Reporting to the Head of Business Controls and Monitoring, Corporate Services, this role plays a leadership role in driving, implementing, and managing risk management and monitoring obligations in the Corporate Services Division, supporting consistent implementation, and embedding of risk management frameworks, policies, and controls.

Given the stature of this role, you will provide senior risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, actioning, and remediation of risk issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives. You’ll support the development of the business' risk profile and operation within risk appetite, including defining and operationalising relevant RAS metrics, and develop and implementing plans to achieve this.

Furthermore, you will provide Financial Crime advice and guidance to manage third party risk, along with providing risk expertise to support the business with regulatory request and remediation. You’ll provide insights and reporting for risk committees and board risk committees.

What do I need?

A strong candidate will bring 10 plus years of experience in risk management coming from the Banking or Financial Services industry, or another large and complex environment. This person can come from an audit/consulting firm having worked within the Financial Services practices. Knowledge of property compliance would be useful to the successful candidate.

You will hold stakeholder engagements skills and highly proficient with both your verbal and written communication. As you will be a crucial point of contact for business partners, you will have to build trusting relationships across the LoB. You will be asked to challenge and hold your own amongst some key people across the organisation and provide your thought leadership on several matters.
