The Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will contribute to the team with a predominate focus on the development and delivery of the Bank's key management reporting obligations. The Bank Performance Management team add value to the Bank/Group through working with stakeholders to understand current financial performance and provide a forward-looking view of financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships within the Bank and Group finance to understand drivers of current performance and set budgets and forecasts for the Bank
  • Take a leadership role in the design and implementation of models and processes for Performance Management
  • Understand and explain balance sheet, margin and profitability dynamics in the portfolio and in the context of the wider bank
  • Coordinate and prepare Bank reporting deliverables within Finance and across the Bank
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail of internal and external reporting and provide ad hoc reporting and assistance to CFO Banking and Lending
  • Maintain the Bank's rolling forecast system including sources of data and assumptions to ensure the system is capable of producing the Bank's rolling revenue forecast
  • Take a proactive approach to build relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank and Group
Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance related field (Mandatory)
  • Extensive experience within financial services
  • Strong analytical capability with a background in business analysis, management reporting and decision support
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Tableau & TM1 systems
  • Basic knowledge of SQL & data querying
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting concepts
  • Strong understanding of management accounting fundamentals
