How will I help?

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong focus on execution to join our team in the role of Manager, Regulatory Response. In this role you will be required to ensure Westpac’s compliance with its regulatory obligations by taking responsibility for project managing responses to mandatory regulatory notices and queries in a timely, comprehensive and accurate manner. You will be responsible for work breakdown planning, work scheduling & allocation and ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of their role in delivery.

What do I need?

Proven Project Management experience in delivery of Regulatory Notice/request responses and/or in delivery of IT related projects (noting this role is not one of IT delivery).

Emphasis on managing execution, clearing obstacles for the team and is comfortable working to hard deadlines (which are frequently tight).

A strong record of achievement and successful delivery, within a professional services firm or large corporate organisation

Ability to harness and further develop the skills of the Analysts working on the program of work

Excellent attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Previous experience in Business/Data Analysis required. Legal, Audit or a related field desirable

The ability to manage multiple projects running simultaneously in parallel

Strong understanding of wealth businesses and/or financial planning practices, including a knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations desirable
