Job Description

Due to a change in our finance team, we have the opportunity for a motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join us on a full-time, 6-month fixed-term basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the:

  • Management of workflow queue to ensure invoices are prioritised and actioned at the appropriate time
  • Accurate and timely payment of provider invoices via EFT, credit card and cheque
  • Mailbox management – processing of inquiries coming to general finance mailbox
  • Assistance and follow-up of unreconciled bank items
  • Follow-up and accurate processing of payment refunds
  • Processing returned cheques
  • Accurate reconciliation of provider statements
  • The undertaking of daily payment runs when required
  • Ad hoc duties where required

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

To become one of our superstars, you will need..

  • An eye for detail
  • Accuracy – particularly in relation to numbers
  • The ability to undertake repetitive work while maintaining concentration
  • The ability to manage own workflow
  • A good phone manner
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with other finance and non-finance staff
  • Basic computer skills (Excel and outlook particularly)
  • Previous experience in a similar, high-volume position is advantageous.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake a National Police Check – continued employment at UHG is subject to a successful Police Check.
