Certificate III in Finance Traineeship - Devonport & Burnie

Work & Training in partnership with our valued client, one of the BIG FOUR banks, are very pleased to offer full time, two year traineeships based in Devonport and Burnie.

Our client values inclusion, and opportunities for minority groups to gain valuable experience within the banking sector. The Role

Tellers are the front-line in providing customer service excellence.

This customer-facing role is responsible for

Conducting customer banking transactions,
Selling appropriate products and services and
Referring the customer to sales specialists where appropriate.

Teller Expectations

Provide great first impressions for the customers, including great personal presentation, greeting customers with a smile and a welcoming attitude, and fantastic communication, both face to face and over the phone.
Interact with customers in a helpful manner and really connect with each person;
Deliver on commitments promised to customers, including proactive follow-up of all enquiries; excellent written communication to all parties, and successful outcome for all concerned.

Skills and attributes required

Fantastic verbal and written communication skills.
Well-presented and able to demonstrated great customer service.
Excellent planning and time management skills, within an environment of frequent interruptions and conflicting priorities.
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, judgement, maturity and discretion.
Great organisational skills, including the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and manage varying workloads effectively.
A good understanding of Work, Health & Safety requirements.
Courteous, cooperative, and able to follow instruction within a team environment.
Ability to use current technology to deliver services including word processing, database entry, and use of spreadsheets.
The desire to obtain your Certificate III in Finance qualification. National Training Wage applies.
