    An excellent opportunity waits for a risk engineer to join our Risk Partners team and support our purpose of “Making your world a safer place”.
    IAG Risk Partners supports this purpose by empowering our business customers to understand and manage their risks effectively and recover rapidly from an unexpected incident, crisis or event.
    We aspire to be the risk partner of choice for our underwriters, our broker partners, our customers and their industries.
    We deliver this through a range of risk services including raising risk awareness, providing risk leaning opportunities, measuring and benchmarking risk quality, supporting customers with risk improvement advice.
    In this role you will work as a member of one of Australia’s largest risk engineering teams but be operating in a highly autonomous environment. Traveling to customer business sites is integral to the position.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide accurate, informative, and timely site risk appraisals that provide
    optimal risk information to underwriters on which to base their risk selection
    and pricing decisions.
    • Provide risk management solutions and options to clients for effective risk
    treatment and benefits.
    • Deliver accurate, comprehensive, and timely written reports that conform to
    Risk Partners technical and service delivery frameworks and guidelines.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the underwriters, key
    intermediaries, preferred partners, customers and the Risk Partners team to create and deliver client value, across IAG Business Units as required.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all risk services are
    delivered in a consistent, coordinated, efficient and cost effective manner.
    • Educate Brokers, Partners, Customers and Underwriters around existing
    exposures and best practice mitigation
    • Maintain industry knowledge relevant to the client portfolio, regulatory change,
    compliance and Australian and International standards.
    • Supports sales and growth of product through attendance and contribution to
    marketing activity and customer engagement.
    • Participate as subject matter expert in ad-hoc risk related projects as required.
    • Adopts and adheres to all technical, service and governance frameworks,
    including use of the Salesforce work management system.

    Skills & Experience
    • 3-5+ years’ experience in Engineering
    • Strong technical report writing skills
    • Solid understanding and experience in Risk Analysis and Selection
    • Previous experience within the Property Insurance Industry is desirable
    • Tertiary qualification in Risk Management/Engineering/Science Discipline required
