Job Description

As a Senior Business Process Analyst, you’ll work to discover and solve for problems around how well equipped we are as a business to provide best in class service to our customers. You will have the unique ability to problem solve in a structured way. You will create business processes and remove blockers that increase quality of our service across digital and non-digital channels. You will partner with teams in product, transformation, operations, and front line to build solutions. Your role will be under our Everyday Banking line of business – think transaction accounts, savings, payments and rewards.

How will I help?

  • You’ll collaborate with our bankers, operations, product and delivery teams to define and deliver the business process improvements.
  • You’ll be driven to constantly learn our ways of working and develop new processes to solve for gaps in our controls and ways of working
  • You’ll take responsibility from business requirements to solution recommendations
  • You will take a leadership role in managing small projects
  • You will play a key role in the achievement of Westpac’s strategy by working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems

What do I need?
  • Requirements Analysis and Lifecycle Management: Ensure the project meets the needs of the customer and business and is aligned to the overall strategy by:
  • Leading the definition, elicitation, prioritisation and validation of requirements and design of business processes to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Defining and driving ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ processes
  • Managing the development of detailed Business Requirements, Business Process Specifications and/or System Functional / Non Functional Specifications that will drive the desired change to business process, system enhancement / development activities
  • Reviewing and revising documentation in light of any new information and/or changes to initial assumptions, including implications for project time, cost, quality and risk.
  • Constructing the business case and benefits realisation plan, specifically analysing the proposed solution to deliver the desired business outcome and associated project costs.
  • Reporting: Lead regular status reporting as it relates to the project including progress and risks.
  • Best practice and compliance: Understand and adhere to enterprise methodologies and processes such as the Project Execution Framework (PEFm) and Requirements Development Framework (RDF)
