This is an exciting Compliance Opportunity as part of our ANZ team, reporting into the APAC VP for Enterprise Risk, Compliance & Controls.

Fiserv ANZ is seeking an experienced professional with strong Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Privacy and Regulatory Compliance experience to lead as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), Privacy Officer and Head of Regulatory Compliance for Australia & New Zealand.

The Compliance & Controls role is responsible for executing the Firm’s annual compliance plan, design and implement comprehensive AML risk assessments, AML policies/procedures and providing AML coverage and oversight to all Fiserv's business units. Additionally the Compliance & Controls Officer will oversee and manage the Australia and New Zealand Business Units’ regulatory compliance processes, projects, or programs, perform in-depth and more complex research, fact gathering and analysis, and routinely involved in addressing regulatory compliance, licensing, business and reporting matters. Lastly, this position is responsible for managing responses to examinations and submissions to Australia regulatory bodies e.g. AUSTRAC.

The ideal incumbent will support:

  • Act as the primary Compliance & Controls Officer as well as AML representative within Australia and New Zealand.
  • Undertake a leadership role in developing, implementing and maintaining an AML framework across all Business Units.
  • Partner with the business, Legal and Audit staff to develop, implement and administer corporate-wide Financial Crimes and Compliance policies and controls.
  • Maintain and improve the product review framework to ensure appropriate controls are in place to reduce inherent risk.
  • Advise the business in relation to Compliance and Financial Crimes matters including privacy, anti-bribery & corruption, CDD/KYC due diligence, money laundering prevention and sanctions related matters.
  • Assess and determine appropriate resolution actions relating to challenging regulatory compliance issues arising from Business Unit queries, testing & monitoring results, changes in regulatory compliance regulations, non-compliance with relevant Fiserv Policies and procedures.
  • Liaises with General Manager regarding their Business Unit’s adherence to regulatory compliance obligations and promotes their associated actions to support effective delivery of Regulatory Compliance Program.
  • Determine if and when to escalate significant issues to the APAC VP for Enterprise Risk, Compliance & Control, appropriate Legal Counsel and/or Business Unit personnel.
  • Identify, research, analyse regulatory compliance laws and regulations, and write business requirements to ensure Business Unit regulatory compliance obligations are met.
  • Supports delivery of cross-organizational regulatory compliance related projects. Supports business and system regulatory compliance development.

Key attributes and skills desired

  • Minimum 8 years regulatory, Financial Crimes, AML or risk management experience gained within a financial institution or regulator.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation required
  • Previous experience interacting with local regulatory agencies and leading regulatory exams.
  • Strong knowledge of Privacy Laws.
  • Strong compliance background in merchant acquiring and financial services.
  • Previous compliance experience in new payment methods preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with business partners and clients when required.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team based environment across functional disciplines and lines of business.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing.
