About the role

The Compliance Manager will drive, deliver and manage critical business outcomes in the Compliance function, including ownership of the organisation wide Obligation Management and reporting process.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Crime and Compliance, your key accountabilities will also include:

  • Providing compliance advice, educating and building awareness amongst the business with regards to broader risk and compliance including the delivery of training
  • Implementing strategies, policies, procedures, and controls to manage risk and compliance while reporting outcomes to the Board Risk and Executive Committee
  • Continuously seeking to improve business processes to maintain adherence to risk and compliance frameworks
  • Supporting the management of the Greater Bank Privacy Office
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance obligations are understood and adhered to
  • Managing and delivering annual compliance reporting to relevant regulators
  • Supporting the organisation to implement regulatory change and drive a positive compliance culture
  • Develop and manage key compliance related policies and management statements

What we’re looking for

This is a key role supporting the management of the Compliance function of Greater Bank therefore extensive relevant work experience (minimum 5 years) in a compliance, regulatory, legal, risk or internal audit position within a financial services industry is required. Previous experience managing organisational privacy programs is considered highly desirable.

With a diploma or high education in relevant fields such as Law or Compliance, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks with the ability to promote the importance of risk management and compliance by providing specialist advice on policies and regulations to the business.

You will form close working relationships with business stakeholders and influence senior and executive managers.
