The Opportunity

You can help us keep the momentum building. A new opportunity now exists for State Manager in Canberra. This role leads a small team of qualified comprehensive private client advisers. You’re be in a unique position to work collaboratively to raise the profile of UniSuper Advice at a state level as we see new members join the fund.

Providing greater retirement outcomes for our members will see you radiate energy and passion for your work and your team. We are looking for a leader that will inspire and motivate others.

The Role

This position requires you to be fully qualified to provide personal financial advice to high net worth clients. Your time will be split between leadership and advice delivery. You’re develop financial strategies to meet financial goals demonstrating clear value to the member. Whilst your leadership will help support mentor and drive the team to meet their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing appointments to deliver paid financial advice to new and existing members
Lead the Advice Function in Canberra ACT responsible for service through net promoter scores and activity levels across the team
Develop and implement strategies that continue to evolve the function and enhance the member experience
Mentor and coach staff to support performance
Maintain high compliance standards that satisfy legislative requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:
Relevant Degree (ideally with a CFP Masters or financial planning major) and obtained the FASEA designation
Either be a registered Tax Adviser or be able to obtain the RTFA designation
7 years direct financial advice experience able to deal with complex financial profiles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Superior relationship building skills including the ability to drive new business initiatives
