The role of the Risk Advisor is to deliver risk advice, insights and support activities/initiatives enabling the Statutory Classes (CTP Product) business to make better business decisions. You will work directly with business teams advocating the desired risk culture and improving risk capability and maturity throughout the business. This rewarding role involves performing activities as required to support the delivery of the Statutory Classes Risk Program of Work under the consistent approach for Insurance adhering to Group Risk Management Frameworks, Policies and Standards. You will also provide Risk subject matter expertise, advice and delivery support for business initiatives and/or strategy development.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Analyse the businesses risk performance and share insights to support them in improving the identification and management of risk
  • Identify and work with the business for areas requiring improvement to support an overall uplift of risk maturity
  • Understand core Insurance Obligations and Compliance Requirements and identify when Compliance specialist advice is required
  • Risk advice and insights to the Insurance business to achieve its operational objectives, including leading the support for the development of risk artefacts such as risk assessments and due diligence requirements for change initiatives and projects
  • Facilitation of annual, quarterly and dynamic risk assessments
  • Work directly with the business to support them in incident and breach identification, management and remediation activities.

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years appropriate industry experience in Insurance or Financial Services
  • Minimum three (3) year experience within Risk related business area(s) (Desired)
  • Minimum three (3) years CTP product experience (Desired)
  • Experience and Advanced knowledge in Risk Management Practices and their application in a business environment including initiatives (such as process changes and project delivery), Risk Profiling, Control Frameworks, incident management and remediation
  • Ability to identify business insight, issues, trends and determine cause-effect relationships to provide potential solutions and courses of action based on the information provided
  • Ability to recognise and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience and business productivity.
