About the Role
You will play an important role in enabling organisational performance through the establishment, management and maintenance of the enterprise risk framework to enable the use of contemporary risk management practices and processes into decision making.

  • Support the first line of defense by providing advice, building capability and embedding effective risk and control management practices across all part of the business
  • Promote a risk aware culture, through the development and delivery of communication and engagement activities including coaching, training and workshop facilitation
  • Provide assurance and reporting to the City’s Executive and key governance bodies of the City’s risk profile
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the business continuity and fraud and corruption control frameworks

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar risk governance role using contemporary methodology and practices and have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and well-developed capability to communicate with influence
  • Ability to take complex information, gather insights, and present it to a range of audiences in an easy to understand way
  • Highly developed analytical skills with demonstrated experience in assessing and developing risk and continuity system maturity, including the provision of guidance and coaching 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities in a varied operational environment, regulated and undertaking key transformations
  • Experience supporting and coaching “line 1” and “line 2” risk and compliance rhythms to deliver the best outcomes for our business and customers
