Our Bankwest Line 1 Financial Crimes team are responsible for strengthening the culture of financial crime compliance across the Bankwest. It supports all divisions to actively manage and reduce their financial crime compliance risks to meet regulatory and community expectations. This is achieved through driving effective implementation of the Group’s AML/CTF, Sanctions and ABC policies whilst continually strengthening our FC risk management framework, procedures and controls.

Reporting into our Senior Manager Financial Crime Risk & Controls Delivery your role as Manager Financial Crime Compliance will be support the consistent application of FC risk framework within Bankwest and assist in the prioritisation and remediation of risk related issues.

You will be required to forge strong relationships with business stakeholders, members of the broader FC and FCC teams including other business unit aligned advisory teams, other risk management teams supporting and overseeing Bankwest activities and Financial Crime Operations team members to drive outcomes.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

  • Experience in banking, financial services, law enforcement, risk management or other relevant experience is preferred.

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in the application of financial crime risk management frameworks.

  • Experience in a compliance, AML / CTF, Sanctions desirable.

  • Excellent co-ordination and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication including writing of committee papers and facilitation of working groups with multiple stakeholders

  • Self-driven and autonomous,.
