How will I Help?

This client-facing role provides Structured Finance (SF) solutions to our corporate and institutional banking customers, with a focus on credit analysis, structuring, negotiating and documentation. The role also includes responsibility for developing and maintaining SF customer relationships and portfolio management.

You will support Directors to identify prospective SF opportunities with customers that lead to new business, including preparation of marketing materials and terms sheet.

Your responsibilities will include contributing to the development of new applications in SF to pitch to our corporate and institutional banking customers; providing independent risk analysis; managing document negotiation and execution; completing settlement activities; negotiating with customers about modifications and extensions of SF facilities, as required, and provide the highest level of customer service and support.

You will build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders both locally and globally. You will develop key internal relationships with the Head of Structured Finance and the team members, Treasury, Debt Capital Markets, Credit, as well as external relationships with SF customers, banks, intermediaries, and investors.

You will further develop your negotiating skills as you will be negotiating with customers about renewals, modifications and extensions of SF facilities as required.

You will also provide independent risk analysis and writing up credit submissions for the SF products

What do I need?

To be successful you will have the following:
  • Recent experience working with customers that have financing through SF markets, preferably in Australia
  • High degree of numeracy and financial competence, including financial modelling, complex credit analysis, legal, tax and/or accounting
  • Formal qualifications in quantitative disciplines such as accounting, finance, engineering, actuarial studies etc would be well regarded
  • Proven ability to work in small deal teams under tight timeframes and other undefined constraints
  • Proven ability to develop superior understanding of client’s industry/business
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiations skills
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of a customer’s organisation
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail
