About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal of Product Delivery to join a fun, fast paced and expanding financial company.

The Principal, Product Delivery is responsible for capability leadership within the Product team and wider Technology Leadership Team. Leading a team of Product Managers and technology resources, you will own Bluestone’s product suite from product planning and execution and throughout the product life cycle, ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. You will engage with business and technology stakeholders to develop product and customer requirements, define the product vision, and ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. 

A typical day for you looks like:

  • Drive high performance in the team, driving engagement, developing capability, hiring and retaining talent.
  • Prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and ability to positively influence outcomes
  • Managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Understanding and representing customer and user needs
  • Obtaining Sponsor validation and providing the Sponsor and Steering Committee with on-going confidence on product delivery certainty & peoples capacity/ ability to apply the new capability
  • Ensuring all product delivery/operational/regulatory/reputation risk impacts are maintained within acceptable & agreed parameters 
  • End to end coordinated management of all product life cycle stage gates
  • Agreeing with Sponsor and delivering against the Key Measures of Success for Scope, Cost Time & Quality and ongoing benefits realisation tracking following formal hand over
  • Securing resources with the necessary experience aligned to the complexity of the task or if the appropriate resources are not available instituting a resource risk minimisation plan 
  • Securing individuals with the demonstrated experience to undertake the complexity of the task to be performed
  • Having a resource risk minimisation plan if the appropriate experienced resources are not readily available

Skills & experience you’ll bring to the team:

  • Previous product experience in Product Management, preferable in a Fintech or Tech start-up environment
  • Capability Leadership - Previous experience in a Product Lead role, with proven ability to coach and develop capability in teams
  • Strong interpersonal & stakeholder engagement skills - Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and ability to positively influence outcomes
  • Ability to engage, inform and liaise with key stakeholders and work with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in product development and technology
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile principles and tools or Hands-on experience of delivering initiative’s using an Agile framework
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes
