About The Role

Role Location- 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type- Multiple permanent and fixed term opportunities available

As the Controls Transformation & Automation Manager, Financial Crime your purpose in this role is to combat financial crime against ANZ and our customers and to ensure that Financial Crime opportunities are minimised through transforming and automating the end to end control environment and working with BU Executive Stakeholders and relevant Business Unit teams to improve control gaps and weaknesses. Financial Crime in this context includes AML/CTF, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, and Fraud.

You will also be responsible for, but not limited to-
  • Minimising operation losses through identification of Financial Crime risks and working with AR&C Tribe Leads and Assurance Leads to improve control gaps and weaknesses.
  • Provide SME advise and direction to AR&C (Australia Retail & Commercial) Business Units in identifying, assessing, documenting and escalating their Technology driven Financial Crime risks and controls.
  • Provide governance of Technology driven key Financial Crime controls operated by AR&C Division businesses
  • Analyse data on Financial Crime automated control trends, analysis, testing, appetite, financials etc. and provide period reporting to management and committees as required
  • Provide SME input on Technology driven Financial Crime risk assessment processes for new product proposals and major variations to existing products
  • Analyse the controls health data and complete E2E control health assessments across Financial Crime for Technology driven controls

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following-
  • Experience of working within the Op Risk Framework, including detailed knowledge of Operational Risk Management Process
  • Detailed knowledge of ANZ systems
  • Experience of developing and implementing a Financial Crime Prevention Strategy across multiple business units
  • Analytical skills required to analyse Financial Crime risk and controls data from multiple sources to identify and measure trends and patterns
  • Proven ability to identify pragmatic solutions to managing risks, and then delivering against this.
