Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance this role leads the business partnering relationship with Customer (Marketing, Loyalty & Financial Services), Online and Supply Chain and is responsible for providing business case support, commercial analysis, tailored strategic advice and driving profit initiatives that enables the financial success of the business

About the opportunity:

  • Support your client group and collaborate with senior leaders to develop financial models, support business cases and provide advice and recommendations on significant strategic investment decisions
  • Business partner with our CCO (Chief Customer Officer) and the EGM - Supply Chain including their direct reports in their areas of responsibility and work on ad hoc requests and special projects, where required
  • Develop and produce timely and meaningful commercial analysis for the client group
  • Assist in providing financial control to key monthly Online and Supply Chain processes
  • Prepare post implementation reviews to evaluate success of implemented projects
  • Support the broader Finance teams, where required


About the role:

  • Seasoned experience in a similar role at a managerial level within a large, complex commercial finance environment
  • CA/CPA qualified with an active membership
  • Previous experience and a solid understanding of Ecommerce and/or Supply Chain will be highly regarded
  • Superior stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven ability to challenge and influence key business stakeholders and processes to drive the best possible outcome for the organisation
  • Prior experience leading a team with exposure in further growing and developing a high performing finance team
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skill and leads by example
  • Leverages off an intimate knowledge of reporting systems to extract and report data and identify issues
  • Uses highly developed knowledge, understanding and application of financial acumen to deliver on individual, team and organisational objectives
  • Specialist level knowledge, understanding and application of financial acumen
  • Proven success applying specialist skills across projects, teams, departments and organisational functions
  • Advanced negotiation skills to deliver optimum trading terms that deliver commercial targets
  • A positive approach to challenge and change with the ability to be agile and adaptable
