About the division

The Bank has adopted a holistic approach to delivering transformation and change. In order to more effectively delivery our strategy, all strategic change has been brought together under a single transformation program and will be delivered by a series of ‘charters’ (portfolios).

Enterprise Lending Transformation forms part of the Program Management Practice in the Transformation Management Office. The team is responsible for delivering a multi-year program of work that builds on foundational lending capability, introduces automation and enhances operating models. Doing this allows us to move toward our vision to deliver an exceptional lending experience for our customers, partners and staff which continues to innovate to meet their needs, while supporting business aspirations.

About the role

The Project Lead is responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic lending initiatives while remaining committed to Bank’s vision, values and strategic focus of Customer, Community and People, with the aim to be Australia’s most customer connected bank.

This role supports the delivery of large change to the Bank and works closely with leaders to help shape change and drive better customer outcomes and meet the needs of the business.

The Project Lead is responsible for planning, organising, and leading specific projects within Transformation Initiatives. These initiatives provide exceptional business value to users. The Project Lead may be responsible for managing concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

This role supports the delivery of large change to the Bank and works closely with leaders in the Transformation team and to help shape change and drive better customer outcomes and meet the needs of the business.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring initiative outcomes are aligned to future state desired customer experience.
Responsible for the delivery of strategic transformation projects, optimizing achievement of outcomes, benefits/measures time and cost. initiative scope while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
Responsible for project status and financial reporting; progress reports and successful delivery planning.
Responsible for monitoring and managing project dependencies.
Responsible for ensuring the effective management of Project, Communication, Implementation and Resource plans.
Responsible for ensuring initiative is delivered within budgetary constraints.
Responsible for managing scope, change, risks and issues effectively
Responsible for proactively developing and managing valued and sustainable internal and external relationships to facilitate the achievement of vision and objectives

About you:
Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues as well as possessing strong influencing skills
Understanding of project management principles and the ability to understand and apply project management methodologies used by the organisation.
Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by making quality decisions by knowing when enough information is available or when additional information is required.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances & work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to document business requirements and functional specifications
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Senior Business Analysis or a Project Management role (or equivalent)
Experience interacting with Senior Management
Banking, finance, accounting or information technology industry experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications will be an advantage
