What will you be doing?

  • Review and critically assess fund related investment proposals for investment and divestment and other fund specific transactions (asset purchases, capital enhancement initiatives, leasing and financing) and preparation of recommendation papers in relation to such transactions.
  • Review of financial results, metrics and other key drivers of fund investment performance.
  • Management and coordination of service providers, including annual valuation process, periodic distributions, fund accounting and reporting, annual audit process and other tax compliance matters.
  • Provide technical support with a particular focus on tax matters, financing, commercial property and infrastructure.
  • Providing training to and reviewing of the Investment Analyst’s and Junior Analyst’s reports.
What You Will Need To Succeed

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience could include:
  • 4+ years’ experience in a transactional advisory role within a Big 4 professional services firm with a demonstrated understanding of the MIT framework and the associated tax implications (required to be considered for this role)
  • Understanding of and experience in MITs or property trusts as an investment vehicle is also essential
  • Strong preference for experience commercial property, real assets and/or infrastructure
  • Superior analytical skills with an understanding of property, real assets and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of property fund lifecycles and annual reporting and compliance processes is desirable
  • Well-developed formal investment writing and presentation development skills
  • Excellent client management skills and experience
  • Strong knowledge of Australian investment markets, in particular property and infrastructure
  • Being able to understand, interpret and explain complex technical concepts to clients and junior staff members.
