The Operations division mission is to enable TCorp’s strategy. Our functions include the Enterprise Programme Management Office (EPMO), Investment Operations (IO), Financial Markets Operations (FMO), Finance & Settlements (F&S), Data & Analytics (D&A) and Board Secretariat.

The IO team is a middle office function enabling the Investments team working in partnership with JP Morgan as Custodian and overseeing back office functions performed by our strategic service provider partners. The team’s responsibilities include the onboarding of new products and managers, timely delivery of reliable data to decision makers, and the day to day verification of unit pricing and investment performance. The team also ensures that operational processes are fit for purpose, and services are delivered in accordance with obligations to TCorp clients.

Key Outcomes And Accountabilities For The Role Include

The Senior Analyst, Investment Management Operations is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the operations and implementation deliverables while performing BAU functions.

  • Net Asset Value (NAV) / Unit Pricing / Performance: review of calculations, daily performance commentary, ongoing expense accrual and payment process.
  • Financial Accounting and General Ledger: review of general ledge reporting, expense and income reporting, cash flow reconciliation.
  • Distribution and Tax Reporting: oversight review of distribution calculations, co-ordinate distribution process.
  • Day to Day Processes: daily oversight of the custodian, monitor MFSA deliverables, cash and stock reconciliations, review of daily overdraft reporting.
  • Implementation: define and manage implementation scope, project manage TCorp internal teams, ensure compliance with TCorp controls, ongoing process improvement.
TCorp are looking for a candidate with excellent knowledge of investment operations activities and functions as well as an understanding of investment instruments, investment markets and direct investment activities. Proven experience in dealing with auditors, custodians and other external service providers and experience in assessing operational risks and experience in the performance of due diligence activities will be essential.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of operational risk, preventative and control practices and be interested in operating in a collaborative manner, have strong organisational and planning skills, confidence in dealing with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally, a solid understanding and strong written and verbal communications skills.

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications applicable to the finance industry (or demonstrated relevant experience) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry and demonstrated experience working in an investment operations function, custodian and/or audit function.
