My client is a major big 4 bank in Australia that is renowned for having one of the highest performing business banking units. If you want to work alongside some of the most affluent business bankers in the industry, and develop your career to eventually become a business banking manager, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for!

Working in a progressive and flexible team where no two days will be the same, you will require to have working credit knowledge of decision making processes, in either residential, asset or business sectors. My client is open to reviewing candidates for this 6 month fixed term contract, to integrate as part of the team to assist in reviewing business financials and assisting the business banking managers around regional Victoria.

As an associate business banking manager you will be:

  • An integral part of the business unit, ensure the seamless management of client portfolios
  • Working collaboratively with various business banking managers
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders and the client experience
  • Reviewing the credit worthiness of new applications
  • Assessing financial statements of existing SME clients

About the Role

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your ability to review complex business financial statements, have a sound understanding of SME business banking, have exposure to trust structures, and reviewing cashflow statements, assets and liabilities. In addition, you will have the intention and drive of wanting to join this prestigious major bank with the view for progression into becoming a business banker with your own client portfolio.

This opportunity is not to be missed, for bankers in residential and credit analysis may be suitable for this entry level business banking role, or perhaps if you are coming from a second tier or non bank.

In addition, it is desired you have the following background:

  • Credit assessment, credit risk or strong financial analysis background
  • Commercial acumen and strong communication skills
  • Customer service and client experience focused, with strong relationship management skills
  • Strong decision making and ability to manage workload
  • Quick to think on your feet with high attention to detail
  • Organised, able to multitask and prioritise as needed.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to develop your skills and grow in this role

In return, this 6 month fixed term role will provide the opportunity to progress to permanency as a business banking manager within the group, with a generous pro rata remuneration package on offer and flexible working schedule with ability to work from home.
