Manager - FP&A, Business Partner
Sydney

Join the Corporate Operations Group as a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to proactively partner with the Operations Division Leadership Team to deliver meaningful insights and reporting as well as continued process improvement. This role partners with our Shared Service Centre to ensure a smooth end to end delivery of timely, value add reporting and analysis.

This role will involve interaction with many teams in Operations and across Macquarie, requiring flexibility and a high attention to detail. You will be providing insights and analysis to help the Operations Leadership Team effectively manage their cost base including an understanding of their businesses and how they recover monthly costs out to the operating groups who consume the services provided.

You will use your strong communication skills alongside excellent analytical skills to review, challenge and report financial results across various divisions, providing meaningful insights into the cost base. You will build a strong relationship with key stakeholders across Operations through regular meetings and discussions on their monthly results. You will leverage your understanding of their businesses, as well as an independent finance perspective, to provide adhoc analysis, decision support and an understanding of their current and future team profiles. You will take a risk mindset in reviewing monthly financials as well as in delivering ongoing forecasts. You will work with the Shared Service Centre to continually improve our internal finance processes and ensure we provide seamless finance support.

To be successful, you will be a qualified accountant who can demonstrate a keen interest in business performance reporting and a desire to build a career in financial management. A proactive attitude, inquisitive nature, and an ability to quickly grasp new concepts will be key to your success.

Finally, you will:

  • be generous with your knowledge, time, and feedback
  • be bold, seeing challenges as opportunities that can be overcome as a team
  • have tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
  • have exceptional communication skills
