About The Role

Role Location- 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type- 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-time

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Retail Credit Risk team to support the coordination and management of key Regulatory Returns in particular the new Credit Risk Management Prudential Standard (APS220) and activities related to Market and Funding updates external to ANZ.

As a Credit Risk analyst, you will be primarily responsible for critical review of Regulatory Returns with key stakeholders across Finance, Products, Treasury and Risk. This will encompass analysis, management and resolution of defects, ensuring appropriate controls and processes are adhered to across the enterprise, presentation to the Delegate including explaining key movements, issues and obtaining sign-off and managing responses for APRA queries.

In addition, this role will also support activities related to preparing, analysing and presentation of materials for Market and Funding updates external ANZ including the Half-Yearly Results Announcement, Trading Updates, Securitisation programs, Ratings Agencies, Financial Stability Reviews and any other relevant external disclosures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following-
  • Experience in common data and data science toolkits, such as SAS and SQL with good scripting and programming skills
  • Proficiency in data analytics and interrogation tools with analytical outputs/ad hoc analysis undertaken quickly and effectively, and of high quality
  • Proficiency in CAP, MOS and RLS and other internal source systems will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of APRA Prudential and Reporting Standards is desirable
  • Able to communicate with senior executives
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and to influence change
  • Confident in communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex analytical information
  • Experience investigating and resolving data quality issues
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines
  • Understanding of Credit Risk lifecycle, consumer banking and finance
