The opportunity

As the Head of Pricing, Commodity Commercial you will provide actuarial or pricing support by leading and managing a team of comprised of some combination of actuaries, analysts, pricing specialists and data specialists in providing full actuarial or pricing support in the fulfilment of the role's obligations in relation to pricing, valuation, monitoring, budgeting, process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

The key responsibilities for this role include the following, but not limited to:

  • Lead a team of actuarial and analytical professionals to provide pricing advice for the Commercial Lines portfolios, focused on both short term and long-term business objectives
  • Foster effective and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, including Product, Customer, Claim and Finance functions
  • Undertake and manage complex and major initiatives, including pricing reviews, IT infrastructure projects, new product launches, etc.
  • Support the business planning process through performance and financial projections
  • Enhances processes proactively and continually, including data pipeline, technical modelling, performance monitoring, competitive landscape and customer behavior analyses
  • Develop and mentor direct reports and junior staff across the function, including skills relevant to, and beyond, their immediate areas of responsibility
