At NAB, it's all about our people reaching their full potential. In continuing our drive to achieve success in our market leading Corporate and Institutional Banking team, we are seeking an experienced Working Capital specialist to fulfil a Director role.

Working Capital:

Trade & Working Capital provides a suite of solutions for financing products and services as they move from origin to destination along the supply chain. The Trade & Working Capital team comprises specialist colleagues that support financing requests from customers, to assist with their working capital requirements.

With a focus on business development, this role is responsible for growing net revenue by maintaining, retaining and growing our Trade & Working Capital customer base. You will also be required to assist not only with the Invoice Finance Clients within the business but also assist clients with International Trade questions, requirements and growth opportunities.

About the role:

The role of Director is to proactively build and manage a multi product portfolio of customer relationships focussing on developing new Trade & Working Capital relationships as well as supporting the retention and development of existing customer relationships within C&IB. It will be your remit to ensure you own and deliver the commercialisation of NAB’s TWC proposition and strategy. Ensuring deep customer satisfaction is enhanced through relationship management via planned visitation programs, proactive calling and identifying opportunities to improve services and provide customer efficiencies will be critical.

On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) delivering for our customer and promoting specialist products and services by:

  • Collaborating widely with colleagues in Client Coverage, Product, Implementation and other partners to deliver the best TWC solutions with the goal of winning new to bank and new to product mandates;
  • Providing input, insights and feedback to the TWC strategy to shape product and roadmap delivery;
  • Monitoring TWC facilities to ensure the customer’s ongoing needs are met with advocacy and experience measures met;
    Completion of and recommendation in relations to TWC Products Annual Reviews and Increases; and
  • Identifying and managing customer activities on TWC facilities, instigating the necessary action to mitigate risk in collaboration with internal stakeholders whilst maintaining the overall customer relationships.


About you:

Ideally, tertiary qualified, with an understanding of International Trade rules and regulations, asset conversion cycles, accounting principles and conventions together with an energetic approach for business development will truly impress. Prior experience in either Trade/Invoice Finance and /or Invoice Discounting (Receivables Financing) Sales will be viewed favourably.

You will be passionate about business development with a proven history of delivering against your business origination plan. You will provide thought leadership on how we respond to the changing landscape in payments and transactional solutions, and how we best address our clients changing needs towards mobile and digital capabilities.
