This role supports the CIB Operations team particularly in the Specialised Lending Ops and the Fulfilment and Servicing teams. The role delivers on Enterprise Controls & Processes’ objectives through direct partnership with the business for both ‘ change/controls transformation’ and BAU, such as controls design/documentation, risk profiling, event management and change advice.

What you will bring

You have a strong background in risk, controls and compliance, ideally with experience in product management and design, or in a distribution or retail environment. This role is critical in driving risk and controls awareness, understanding, and change to create a centre of excellence for controls including the uplift of NAB’s controls environment.

Extensive experience in risk management and regulatory compliance disciplines, including controls assurance
Accountable for providing risk and control specialist guidance to senior leaders
Passionate about taking a leading role in driving the controls transformation agenda with a specific focus on improving the control environment using Process Accelerated Controls Enhancement methodology, key to achieving an uplift in intelligent controls scores
Experience in risk management in the payments business would be advantageous.
A plain-speaking risk professional with high commercial acumen and excellent ability to influence

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Divisional Controls, as an Associate Director Divisional Controls you will be responsible for

Risk and regulatory obligation identification, impact assessment and change within the Division
Advising business leaders on the application of the risk and compliance management framework to evaluate risks to achieve business outcomes
Engaging and managing senior stakeholders to implement and improve business systems and processes through the use/integration of the risk and compliance framework
Working with the business to implement systems and controls to manage the requirements of risk and compliance policies which apply to the business
