The Role

Our Personal Financial Consultants provide personal and tailored support to help more than 9500 Victorians who, due to disability, illness or injury and are unable to manage their financial and legal affairs and have been appointed by VCAT.

Due to governemnt funding we have opportunities for Consultants across multiple streams such as;

Specialised Support Team - In this role you will develop a comprehensive understanding of your client's complex needs, your client base will vary, with each client having complex and unique circumstances, which could further be complicated with multiple critical factors, such as the loss of formal or informal support, mental health concerns and/or disabilities, substance abuse, financial abuse, being at risk from others or demonstrates violent behaviour, at risk accommodation or difficult relations (family breakdowns or conflict) etc. The client outcomes in situations appear straight forward, however, are challenging to achieve due to the complexity of the client situation.

Infringements Team - In this role you will focus on the wholistic management of client infringements. You will be responsible for working in a pilot team to test, learn and build out processes to support the effective management of the full lifecycle of client's infringements management.

Financial Asset Management - In this role you will focus on the ongoing management and maintenance of clients financial and legal affairs and respond to client & 3rd party requests.

Role Requirements

Demonstrated exceptional multi-tasking and prioritisation skills
Ability to problem solve and make informed decisions.
Ability to deal with high volume administration
Ability to review information and make sound recommendations
Well-developed professional communication skills
Competent in financial literacy
Understanding and experience interacting with people with disability/special needs

A background in business administration preferably within the trustee, financial, legal or disability sectors will help you in this role.
