The opportunity

In what is an exciting stage of our company's growth, we have created this new position for a Business Financial Analyst to join our Operational Transformation team. This team works across departments and is at the forefront of designing and implementing business process efficiencies to reduce operational costs, identifying opportunities through data analysis and technological implementations. This is an exciting role where you can highlight your commercial and analytical skills to help define the pricing strategy, lead cost-benefit analysis, and develop foundational tools and processes to drive data-driven pricing and operating decisions.

About the role

The Business Financial Analyst will be responsible for helping to evolve how DBC thinks about cost stack reduction, process optimization and pricing design. Some of the main responsibilities will include:

  • conducting cost analysis across departments and projects to provide recommendations that can reduce costs 
  • working closely with the finance team on financial forecasts and operations costing design
  • establishing and maintaining pricing and discount tools, templates, forecasts and policies and processes for future pricing projects and changes
  • working with sales and operations stakeholders to identify profit improvement opportunities through the introduction of technology or process design
  • conducting competitor and industry analysis and providing recommendations on product structure

About you

Having a commercial mindset and taking a collaborative approach to working with multiple teams, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • experience in a Business, Financial or Commercial Analyst role leading the analysis to help define baselines through cost and cost-benefit analysis
  • an understanding of pricing in a business or group with multiple products or services
  • experience using tools & processes to enable reporting and data-driven decision making
  • a strong analytical background with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Power BI
  • exposure to supporting cost analysis for projects across multiple business functions & products, utilising Lean process improvement and streamlined design
