How will I help?
As a Team Member within the Unsecured Lending team, you will be responsible for assessing customer loans and credit card applications for compliance with responsible lending (regulatory) requirements to support revenue generation for unsecured lending products. The team manage various means of customer communications, including phone and email requests.

Your role will be to provide exceptional customer service to our customers at all points, within service level timeframes and at the highest standard. You will communicate with customer and stakeholders across the group, both internally and externally, and provide complex analysis of various requests to achieve the desired outcome before completed the requests.

You will work to ensure the team is focused on the delivery of quality output, following Westpac protocol, policies and procedures when completing functional activities. As the unsecured lending team member, you will play an integral role in the development of a cohesive team environment and in building effective relationships with business partners across other teams in ULO and Westpac. Your major accountabilities will include delivering customer outcomes, superior customer service and compliance.

What do I need?
You will have proven experience in delivering high standards of customer service within agreed service levels within a high volume, productivity-driven environment, experience in the banking industry will be highly regarded. To be successful in the role you will have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, you will be resilient, remain calm and be able to handle customer complaints with empathy and understanding.

You will also need to be a team player and ideally have knowledge of financial analysis, Credit and risk and end to end originations processes and business. You will be skilled in MS Office such as Word, Excel and Lotus notes and also have an understanding of Unsecured lending processes, support systems and tools.
