The Department/Team

This is an excellent opportunity to join Milliman’s Australian Practice. We’re a close-knit team based in North Sydney with a focus on providing consulting and risk management to providers of retirement products, and implementing derivative-based strategies for large superannuation funds, ETF providers, managed funds and managed accounts.

Your Role/What You’ll Do

Candidates will be versatile, enthusiastic in their approach and ready to take a pivotal role in the continued growth of Milliman's Australian practice. As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be providing all-round administrative support to the local team and global HR/finance functions.


Role and responsibilities:

  • Administrative support to senior management and customer relationship management activities
  • Meeting and travel coordination
  • Scheduling meetings, interviews and similar business events
  • Answering and distributing calls
  • Timesheet and expense reconciliation and management
  • Management of office equipment, suppliers and invoices
  • Liaising with suppliers 
  • Liaising with building management company
  • General administrative tasks, including data entry, mail collection, maintenance of staff amenities
  • Provide support to HR processes such as onboarding/offboarding team members
  • Provide support to finance processes such as billing, invoice payment, and similar tasks
  • Planning social events for team bonding


Requirements for Ideal Candidates:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or receptionist role with a preferred background in financial services or other similar professional services organisation.
  • Eagerness to provide support, excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
