An opening now exists for a Senior Payroll Officer to join their team permanently to provide ongoing support.

Your new role
You'll report through to the Payroll Operations Manager and your duties will include;

  • General and complex payroll data maintenance including, but not limited to - new starters, terminations, work patterns, pre and post deductions, salary packaging, superannuation and complex calculations
  • End to end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly client pay runs in accordance with instructions, agreed expectations and best practice
  • Post pay processes including end of month reconciliations and general ledger
  • Interpretation of relevant Awards and Industrial Agreements associated with allocated clients
  • Stakeholder management - engaging with clients for feedback on service satisfaction
  • Checking and reviewing of other team members' work
  • Mentoring and supporting Payroll Officers in processing of relevant client payrolls
  • Working to a strong customer service centric culture
What you'll need to succeed
  • 3-5 years of end-to-end payroll experience in an autonomous role, processing high volume payrolls using a minimum of Tier 2 software
  • Management of multiple payrolls and delivered against tight deadlines
  • Strong MS Office experience, [Excel, Word, Outlook]
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and self-manage day to day tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualifications in a finance, business or related discipline
