Job Description

How will I help?

As the Team Leader withing Mortgage Operations, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring a high-performance team. Our Team Members are responsible for assisting and supporting the settlement activity for home loan applications, a key moment of truth for our customers. There are multiple vacancies for this position.

You will be leading from the front by demonstrating a customer-centric approach as well as contributing and assisting with the delivery of the Westpac Group’s vision.

As a Leader, utilising current state data, you will also be accountable for identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities to improve process efficiency and create better customer outcomes.

What do I need?

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated Team Leadership experience, this being specifically within Mortgages will be highly advantageous. This experience will have derived from roles ideally within either Banking or the wider Financial Services.

It is important to note that for one of these positions it will require the successful individual to be working remotely from your team as your immediate team will be based in Adelaide. Hence, it is crucial that you are motivated to work independently. You will have significant experience leading the management of Risk and have experience managing teams onshore and offshore.

You are innovative in your problem solving and will be energetic, pro-active, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where efficient management of competing priorities is key.

You bring exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and are able to appropriately elicit information, challenge, and influence stakeholders across a broad range of business functions, to enable the successful achievement of outcomes.
