Sales and Client Service Lead - Manager Research Digital Platform

  • This role will directly contribute towards the revenue growth of the Analytics, Research and Tools (ART) business within the Pacific region.
  • Working as part of the team, the successful candidate will lead the MercerInsight commercial proposition in the region. In addition to managing the existing relationships that we have with clients, you will be expected to identify prospects to grow the business further
  • The successful candidate is required to understand the content, functionality and uses of the range of our tools to an advanced level.

We will count on you to:

  • Providing leadership to the local ART team, acting as a role model
  • Network internally and externally to develop, build and maintain an adequate pipeline of prospects
  • Work with Pacific consultants to identify key prospects in the region/client base and develop a tailored sales strategy
  • Lead in all aspects of client servicing efforts, including client training sessions and client meetings, account and relationship management.
  • Meet business client retention targets and billing deadlines
  • Develop an understanding of the use and application of Mercer’s tools (to product specialist level), to confidently speak about the offering to prospective clients and internal consultants.
  • Work with Mercer Legal to ensure that contract negotiations are effectively managed
  • Assist clients with the development of complex workflows incorporating the use of a range of tools
  • Keep clients informed of major developments by distributing relevant Mercer papers
  • Develop marketing campaigns to institutional asset owners and investment managers and work with the marketing team to co-ordinate their implementation.

What you need to have:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related degree
  • 5-10 years of related work experience in the investment industry is preferred
  • Have advanced understanding of the functionality available across the range of subscriber tools
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of numerous investment managers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal directly with clients in a professional manner
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proved ability to develop relationships
  • Have a knowledge and interest in investment consulting, financial markets and FinTech software houses
